Where can I find used Rolls Royce Phantoms?

Not that I urgently need one right now, but I am curious about their depreciation, and how much longer I'll have to save up my pocket money to get one.

I mean the current model, the one with the BMW parentage.

I heard the beautiful old ones can be a lot of heartbreak.|||I have to tell you, the beautiful old ones will be a LOT less heartbreak than spending $100k on a second hand car that costs $20k a year just to keep on the road.

The cheapest ones are '80's shadows (bit boxy looking but a rolls royce in every respect) which can go for as little as $5k. $10-30k will buy any number of decent rolls royces of various types.

I assume by heartbreak you assume there will be enormous bills resulting in buying an older one.

Let's see: There's the initial buying cost; which is minimal compared to the Phantom. The insurance will be classic rates (all rolls' qualify for this). The fuel will be used up about the same rate as in the Phantom; perhaps even less as the newer cars are heavier. Breakdowns? Rolls Royce engines represent some of the finest engineering in the world; they run smoother than any engine ever made and half a million miles is not uncommon. Parts for minor fixes can be obtained through specialist breakers and owners clubs for less money than from Rolls themselves, and a LOT less than parts for a Phantom.

Other plus points? Prices are low for older ones as many are scared off by misinformation (there are no lead tags peventing any non-rolls mechanics from working on it, it is just a car at the end of the day). Oh yeah, you'll own a Roller.... and one a damn sight more individual and open to comments than any Phantom on the road, for a tenth of the price. Other drivers treat you with respect, every mile is a joy. Don't let rumours put you off, buy the best car ever made and fall in love:)|||DuPont Automible Registry|||Look here: http://autos.yahoo.com/used-cars/rolls_r鈥?/a>|||Try a Rolls Royce dealer, they should be able to get what you want.
