What is the difference between a rolls royce and a bently?

my grandfather told me that a rolls is for for being driven around in and a bently is for driving yourself around in. is this true?|||The Bentley is a high performance car while the RR is for those who like to take there time, both are great cars. These days one is owned bu Volkswagen the other by BMW so they are no longer the same.|||Years ago the only differance was the grille in front of the radiator. A Rolls Royce suggested you were new money , a Bently said you were old money.|||not really. there are rolls royce coups meant for you drivin and there are big a$$ bentleys that rich folk get chaueffered in|||Rolls Royce is for old people.
